Cabin Radar — Tesla
Revived a 60 GHz mmWave radar that had sat dormant in vehicles for 3+ years. Shipped it to 2.5M+ vehicles. Detects occupant presence, breathing, and heartbeat through blankets and car seats.
Developed the first radar model that distinguishes adults and children in diverse scenarios, meeting ASIL compliance and failure rate requirements. Powers child-left-alone detection (pediatric heatstroke deaths) and dynamic airbag deployment. Helped Tesla achieve 93% Child Occupant Protection in Euro NCAP 2025.
Autonomous Racing — ROAR
Co-managed a multi-university autonomous racing team across Berkeley, UCSD, CMU, and Hawaii. Built the perception stack for 200 mph autonomous racecars. Competed as underdogs against battle-tested European front-runners.
Silver Medal at Indy Autonomous Challenge. #1 U.S. team at IAC during CES 2023.
